As a key member of the Wajax team, the Field/Shop Service Technician based in Acheson must inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs and service, rebuild and repair heavy duty equipment as required. You must complete the associated service paperwork and update and maintain all service records. You must be able to travel, with the potential of overnight stays.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs as required.
• Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for the customer.
• Recondition and remanufacture components as required for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certificate or enrolled in an accredited apprenticeship program.
• Experience in servicing and troubleshooting MTU, Detroit Diesel Engines, Allison Transmissions and/or Power Generation equipment would be an asset.
• Strong diagnostic abilities and previous repower or fabrication experience are important.
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent communication and computer skills with a strong customer service focus.
• A valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract are essential.
